I first heard about Bitcoin in 2013 and as at that time, the exchange rate to the dollar was more than USD20,000 to 1BTC. Now it just USD662 to 1 BTC. This is just one of the Cryptocurrencies

A cryptocurrency is a medium of exchange like normal currencies such as USD, but designed for the purpose of exchanging digital information through a process made possible by certain principles of cryptography. What do I mean by Minable?
Some cryptocurrencies can be mined (like you are mining for Gold or precious Stones). Yes but their method and level of difficulty of mining defers from one currency to another.
This is a computationally intensive task, and it requires a lot of processing power. Essentially, the computer is rewarded for solving difficult math problems. See more
